When should we RSVP?
We ask that you RSVP no later than May 25th, 2024. However, the earlier the better. You can RSVP right here on our website!
Where should I fly into?
The best option is to fly out of your local airport to Belize City. From there you will book a local (15 minute) flight from Belize City to San Pedro. You can arrange to have either a taxi pick you up and bring you to your hotel/villa, or arrange for your golf cart rental company to meet you there with your carts for your stay.
There is also a ferry ride option (1hr30min) that you could book to bring you over to San Pedro from Belize City airport as well.
Please refer to our Travel page on our website for more information.
When should we arrive?
We ask that you arrive by Monday, February 24th, 2025; however, please feel free to arrive anytime prior! Check out our Travel page for stay options and enjoy a few days to a week of paradise in San Pedro!
What is Beach Formal Wedding Attire?
San Pedro, Belize is filled with warmth and sunshine in February. Sundresses, formal, and semi-formal attire are all welcome! Men, should you choose to forego a suit and tie, please consider nice shorts and a button down for our ceremony and reception. Ladies, sundresses, or regular wedding attire are all welcome! A good rule of thumb for considering what would fall under beach formal- classy but comfortable! Please note that daily high temperatures sit around 81 degrees and daily lows are still 70+ degrees in late February.
How will we get to your ceremony from our place of stay?
In San Pedro, one of the main forms of transportation is via golf cart. On our travel page we have listed rental companies that you can choose from. However, most places of stay offer a golf cart when you book your room or villa. Be sure to reach out to your host before booking as they may just be included! There are also many taxi's in San Pedro that offer reliable and efficient transportation!
Should you have any trouble with transport, please reach out by Monday, February 24th so we can help to arrange your arrival.
Is there anything in particular I should bring?
We have attached some information from our host at Villa Mandevilla to consider when packing:
The weather is almost always 84 and sunny, and dress is casual.
In addition to your basic clothes, here’s a list of things we do recommend you bring:
● sun screen + aloe or sunburn cream
● bug spray - we recommend Deep Woods Off or something similar
● rain coat (it is the tropics)
● water shoes for children
● prescription + basic medication (aspirin/ibuprofen, antacids, etc.)
You can find all of these items on the island, and there are pharmacies where you can find most items without a doctor’s prescription, but some (especially sunscreen and bug spray) are much more expensive than in the US.
General Info
Belize dollars are two (2) to one (1) US dollar at a fixed rate. US dollars are universally accepted at the 2 to 1 rate.
Major credit cards (Visa, Master Card) can be used for most expenses. If you want cooking and tour services you may want to bring some cash.
Also, many businesses do tack on credit card fees of anywhere from 3 to 12.5%, so if you prefer to avoid those, bring MORE cash.
